Internship AI & Cloud Engineering

Job Description:

Are you a student or recent graduate with a passion for data science and AI, eager to apply your skills to make a social impact? We are looking for a motivated full-time intern to join our team and support the development of AI-driven solutions for the public sector. In this role, you will contribute to enhancing our Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, fine-tune open-source LLMs, and help integrate these models into real-world applications.

In addition to the core focus on data science and AI, there is room within this internship to explore cloud engineering. If you’re curious about cloud technologies and how AI systems are deployed and scaled, we offer the opportunity to get hands-on experience. Though it is not a requirement for the role.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

You’ll have flexibility in shaping your internship based on your interests. Some possible directions include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of custom LLMs in RAG applications.
  • Contributing to the evaluation and improvement of LLMs and predictive models.
  • Developing guardrails and safety layers for production-ready AI tools.
  • Improving chunking algorithms and PDF processing for better context interpretation.
  • Integrating user feedback mechanisms into both the UI and model pipelines.
  • Conducting analyses for client projects.

 

If you’re interested in cloud engineering, there’s also room to explore:

  • Supporting the deployment of AI models and tools using basic cloud infrastructure.
  • Learning how we manage and scale AI applications using Docker, cloud storage, or orchestration tools.

 

Besides these technical tasks, the following responsibilities could also be part of the internship:

  • Working in close collaboration with our clients.
  • Pitching new solutions/implementations to potential clients.
  • Delivering training sessions with clients, on for example prompt engineering.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in using data and AI for social good.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Basic understanding of data science and AI concepts.
  • Analytical mindset and eagerness to learn new techniques and tools.
  • Interest in cloud engineering or deployment infrastructure is a plus, not a must.
  • Available 4 or 5 days a week.
  • Access to your own laptop.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with LLMs or LLM-powered applications.
