Background
Gradient was founded in 2023 by two TU Delft graduates, with their main goal of applying AI to achieve positive societal impact. Considering the complex challenges the world currently faces, it is vital to start applying the emerging AI technology to the problems that actually require solving.

At Gradient, we focus exclusively on AI solutions that benefit society. We work with public organizations because they are uniquely positioned to use AI for the common good — from optimizing public transport schedules to assisting policy on agriculture and nature related topics. Every project we take on is guided by the principle that AI should make lives better.

With the slogan of our Rotterdam office being the characteristic ‘Niet Lullen, Maar Poetsen’, Gradient believes in getting things done. We prioritize practical solutions over endless planning, and prototypes over PowerPoints. Our lean, iterative approach ensures that innovation moves fast, stays grounded, and delivers measurable results.
