AIRE, AI for Regional Expertise, is a sovereign AI system for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature (LVVN), built with DICTU. It combines generative AI with retrieval across roughly 600,000 sources.
Policy officers and regional managers get a well-founded answer within seconds, with a reference to the documents it comes from. Knowledge that used to be scattered can now be found in minutes instead of hours.
The system runs entirely in a Dutch private cloud, within the Room for Agriculture and Nature approach. That way the organisation keeps a grip on data and access, and sensitive information stays within its own environment. Because AIRE draws on official documents, the quality of the answers is higher than that of a general AI assistant.
