GKN · WUR and Groen Kennisnet

Making research material searchable.

Semantic search across the Groen Kennisnet knowledge library, fully sovereign and on open source.

Together with Groen Kennisnet and Wageningen University & Research, Gradient built GKN Vector Search. The AI-driven search function unlocks the knowledge in Groen Kennisnet.

Within seconds, the search function searches semantically across roughly 570,000 sources and returns the most relevant results, with a reference to the right page. That leads to considerably better findability and a pleasant search experience.

The solution runs entirely in a data centre in Amsterdam and uses only open-source technology, including the Dutch Weaviate. That way the organisation stays the owner of the data and the technology.
